Changing entrepreneurship and taxation in the 21st century

The future beyond fossils: what kind of policy and tax system change do we need to meet the goals of the Sustainable Revolution?

On 12 November 2021, a high-level conference on sustainable transition took place in Tallinn, Estonia to discuss tax and enterprise policies that will enable us to reach the goals of the green revolution. Important criteria at the concept are liberalism, maintaining a free-market economy and based on sustainability. 

In her speech, Kaja Kallas, Prime Minister of Estonia, talked about sustainable transition and the role of young people, individual responsibility and how to meet Europe’s climate neutrality targets.

A panel discussion followed her keynote speech, with the participation of:

• Mr Andres Sutt, Minister of Entrepreneurship and IT in Estonia
• Mr Stefan Sundman, Vice–President of the Finnish forest industry company UPM Kymmenen 
• Mr Giles Dickson, CEO of WindEurope 
• Mr Martti Hääl, Executive Vice-President (energy & investments) of Alexela Group 

The conference was organised by the European Liberal Forum on 12 November 2021, in cooperation with the Academy of Liberalism, an independent Liberal think tank founded by the members of the Estonian Reform Party in 2006. Co-funded by the European Parliament.
