A session organised by the European Liberal Forum with the involvement of European liberal youth representatives.
As part of the Students for Liberty Con in Madrid, ELF will host a workshop on military service and conscription. The format of the event will be a hackathon with teams reflecting together on innovative proposals that they eventually present in plenary. The propositions made will feed into ELF’s broader work on defence and security throughout 2026.
With all the many challenges the world is now facing, it is ever more important to come together as the pro-liberty movement and discuss how we can navigate further in such a complex environment. Defence and military capacities are one very important topic and impacting the youth directly today in 2026. Not to mention that we must gain public support to work on military readiness.
The goal is to facilitate a hackathon with the youth to develop the liberal positioning on strengthening defence in Europe.
