“The liberal future of the free market in Europe” book launch
With the support of ELF the Dutch book ‘Een markt voor ons allemaal’ has been translated into an English version. During this event we want to discuss the importance of the free market as well as the challenges it faces. We hope to find liberal solutions to issues the market economy often gets blamed for such as climate change, inequality and the market power of Big Tech.
The event will be opened by Hilde Vautmans, President of ELF and Member of the European Parliament for Renew Europe Group, followed by a keynote speech by Tom G. Palmer, Executive Vice president for International Programs and George M. Yeager Chair for Advancing Liberty at Atlas Network and senior fellow at the Cato Institute.
Participants are invited to join for a lunch prior to event proceedings from 12:30pm onwards.
The first part of the event will include a panel discussion, moderated by Daniel Kaddik, Executive Director of European Liberal Forum. Panelists will discuss the future of the free market in Europe in general as well as the main findings of the thematic working groups from the morning session. Among speakers:
