Seminar
The green and liberal think tank Fores invites you to a seminar on how to advance the circular economy in Europe. As climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion accelerate, it is becoming increasingly clear that traditional environmental policies—often developed in siloes—are inadequate. Addressing these interconnected crises demands a more comprehensive and integrated approach, not least a transition from a linear to a circular economy.
At this seminar, researchers Carl Dalhammar and Mattias Lindahl will present their new policy paper, “Developing Policies for a Smart, Inclusive, and Business-Oriented Circular Transition in Europe”. This will set the stage for a dynamic panel discussion featuring national and European policymakers, as well as business and industry leaders. The panel will discuss the main conclusions of the paper, including the challenges and opportunities of implementing circular economy policies, the role of industry in driving innovation, and the need for coordinated action at both the national and EU levels.
The seminar will conclude with a Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with the experts and panellists on these critical issues. Afterwards, participants are invited to networking mingle, providing further opportunities for discussion and collaboration on the path toward a sustainable, circular economy.
