Europeans will not be healthy unless their mental life is taken seriously and services for its improvement are fully integrated into the whole system of state and society. Mental health cannot be an isolated island, it must be part of the design of the health system, education, urban planning, social security services, housing. Action to improve the mental health of Europeans must be implemented at every level, from local to national to the EU level, involving public authorities, NGOs, employers and workers. It is estimated that improving the quality of mental health care could save as many as one million European lives each year. During the event, we will present the FundaMENTAL Health publication to experts at the University of Verona and we will discuss the topic of innovation in mental health with researches at the Hemot Center.
