About the event

Since 16 September 2022, after the death of the 22-year-old Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini in the aftermath of her arrest by the Iranian moral police, Tehran has become the scene of a series of protests intertwining women’s and minority issues in Iran. As a follow-up to the Manifesto already promoted by Fondazione Luigi Einaudi. Read the petition here.

FLE and ELF launched a hashtag: Iranian Women as All Mankind #IWAM, and proposed an RDR on the topic of Iran at the same time.

Fondazione Luigi Einaudi and the European Liberal Forum are united in their intention to put on the agenda of the European Parliament the idea that the liberation of Iranian women is equivalent to the free development of the entire human race.

The RDR will address how and in what terms the Iranian political and social issue can once again be on the real agenda of European politics by combining interests with examining what is happening in society. To help this understanding, the European Liberal Forum and Fondazione Luigi propose a plural dialogue between experts in Iranian culture, politics and society and Italian politicians.
