About the Academy

After 3 Classes of online LCN-Non-Profit Academy, it is high time to organise an in-person capacity building and networking opportunity for the top alumni of LCN to move forward our European network of liberal marketing professionals.

This Alumni Academy is a cooperation between ‘LCN’, FNF and ‘Tell Me Your Story’ Academy of ELF and Projekt:Polska. Participants will explore the synergies of the two networks and leverage storytelling expertise.

We rarely think of storytelling as a tool of mission-driven communication. Because liberal storytelling has to stick to facts and realities. However, this does not mean that we cannot learn from successful narratives. Stories make ideas stick. And we want our ideas, such as liberty, justice, or the rule of law to stick. But not only the ideas of liberalism, we also want YOU to tell YOUR story. Not only in typical official speeches; but in novel ways, we can reach new audiences.

That is why this Academy will focus on storytelling in video form—be it the currently trending short-form format or as a traditional talking head.

In this workshop, we will therefore not only look at the principles of storytelling and how we can implement them in our societal work for our organisations or for our organisational brands; but also how to put this content into videos that people want to watch. In order to do so, participants will be able to practice their abilities to craft powerful narratives and convey them on camera.
