In this episode of the Liberal Europe Podcast, Ricardo Silvestre (Movimento Liberal Social) welcomes Geneviève Pons, the Director-General of Europe Jacques Delors (Brussels) since 2017, and in charge of environmental and climate matters in Mr Jacques Delors’ Cabinet when President of the European Commission. They talk about the future of mobility in Europe, from regional to urban areas, and the importance of education.

In 2013, Geneviève was appointed Director of the ILO’s Legal Service, and in June of 2015 as Director of the WWF’s European Office. Genevieve is considered by Politico as one of the most influential women in Brussels, notably in the field of environment. She is an active member of Ocean Unite and of the Antarctica2020 coalition, which aims to protect the vast marine areas around Antarctica.
As for the Europe Jacques Delors, this is a member organization of the Jacques Delors family of think tanks inspired by the vision and legacy of Jacques Delors, is a Brussels-based think tank created in early 2020. Its creation comes after the Jacques Delors Institute in Paris (1996) and the Jacques Delors Centre in Berlin (2014). The topics we are currently working on are the following: greening trade, ocean and waters, greening the agri-food sector, green finance, among others.
