This research paper presents the findings of the research, which undertakes a two-pronged approach to studying fake news and misinformation in the national discourses in the UK, Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary. The first approach rests on quantitative data collection, while the second approach is via “social listening”, a structured analysis of discourses surrounding fake news-related themes.
