Nominations Open for the Fifth Edition of the Liberal Awards

The European Liberal Forum (ELF) is proud to launch the fifth edition of the Liberal Awards, a flagship initiative recognising individuals who champion liberal values and ideas across Europe.

Each year, the Liberal Awards celebrate outstanding contributions to liberal thought and activism, ensuring that these achievements gain recognition and visibility on the European stage. ELF invites its member organisations, affiliated political parties, and liberal foundations to submit nominations for candidates who exemplify liberal leadership and innovation.

For the 2025 edition, organisations can submit nominations in the following two categories:

Rising Star – A newcomer who has stood out for their energy, dedication, and impact on the liberal scene.
Liberal of the Year – A bold leader who has driven change with disruptive ideas or approaches.

Each organisation may submit one nomination per category. The awards are open to current and former elected officials, think tankers, journalists, and activists residing in one of the 46 Member States of the Council of Europe.

📅 The deadline for nominations is 14 September 2025.

The awards will be presented during the 2025 ALDE Congress, held in Brussels on 24–25 October 2025.
