The panel will focus on how EU values fit in Kosovo and which solutions are envisioned for a liberal future in Kosovo.
The European Union has always played a leading role in the international effort to build a new future for Kosovo since 1999. Over the years, the impetus for the EU Enlargement has been gradually losing momentum. However, Kosovo’s future EU integration, like other countries in the region, remains closely linked to the EU-facilitated high-level dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which should lead to a legally binding comprehensive agreement on the normalization of their relations.
To suggest a liberal response to the strategic challenge of EU integration, ELF is organising a panel discussion bringing together liberal experts from both within and outside of the EU to discuss EU integration and liberal values in Kosovo. The panel will serve as an opportunity for a public dialogue between representatives of PDK and the wider liberal family. It will focus on how EU values fit in Kosovo and which solutions are envisioned for a liberal future in Kosovo.
