About the event

Today, liberalism is under pressure on multiple fronts. Illiberal regimes are on the rise, trying to revise the liberal international order by force, as we see with the aggression from Russia in Ukraine. At the same time, illiberal regimes use populism to divide populations in Europe by challenging and attacking liberal democracies. Finally, technological developments change the world as we know it, and we need policy responses to these changes to secure our liberal societies.

Therefore, this conference focuses on the developments of liberalism in the past years, complimented with a vision on the future. It will become a story, based on three chapters: Energy, Economy and Security with Foreign Policy. By looking at these topics through a liberal perspective, we lay a base for further European cooperation and developments.
