The invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022 has escalated to a disastrous war, impacting the lives of millions of people every day on the European continent.
This war has seen millions of Ukrainians flee their country to save their lives.
Neighbouring countries, international and civil society organisations, as well as private citizens have become involved in the day-to-day management of this humanitarian crisis. Alongside the humanitarian support, the EU Member States, and international governments and organisations have shown unprecedented unity by imposing extensive packages of sanctions, which would hit the Kremlin decision-makers hard.
During this event, the European Liberal Forum will look at the actions of the EU regarding its humanitarian and economic response to Russia.
