Contribute by supporting our projects and research

The European Liberal Forum is the political foundation and think tank of the ALDE party, with 51 member organisations across Europe. Through our network of policy experts, we conduct timely and evidence-based research contributing to comprehensive, liberal solutions to real-life problems.

Our work is future-positive and forward-looking: topics such as digitalisation, strategic autonomy and the intersection between technology and sustainability are emerging fast and becoming more and more inevitable in European politics. With our extensive research, we deliver policies that can inform policymakers and influence impactful decisions at national and European levels.

Through our Corporate Partnership Programme, business stakeholders, who share our vision of a free, prosperous, and democratic Europe, can support our research efforts. This support is essential to expand our policy work into new domains and stay ahead of the curve.

Transparency matters

While, as liberals, we take into consideration industry stakeholders when delving into policy matters, our research outputs are fully independent and unbiased against any donation ELF is receiving.  Upholding the integrity of our research work is our top priority and responsibility as a political foundation and think tank with close ties to decision-makers and policy influencers at national, European and international levels.

One of the most effective ways to demonstrate our commitment to transparency is by making all our financial reports available on our website. The information about donations and contributions are also published on the website of the Authority for European Political Parties and European Political Foundations.

For the European Liberal Forum, it is essential to exercise due diligence throughout the Corporate Partnership Programme and ensure that we only accept funding from trusted sources and partners that align with our mission. The European Liberal Forum does not accept donations from any private entities based in a third country or from individuals from a third country who are not entitled to vote in elections to the European Parliament.  The European Liberal Forum does not accept funding from companies or other organisations that represent views or are involved in activities incompatible with ELF’s mission. These include, among others, criminal activities, discrimination, exploitation of people, or any involvement with radical groups or oppressive regimes.
