In the first episode of LiberTea, the videocast series from ELF, Ricardo Silvestre (Movimento Liberal Social) welcomes Marta Ramos from ILGA Portugal, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Intervention Association. They talk about LGBTQI diplomacy, fighting discrimination and hate-related to LGBTQI issues, and how to raise consciousness about legal and societal protections for this community. This videocast is produced by the European Liberal Forum in collaboration with the Movimento Liberal Social with the financial support of the European Parliament. Neither the European Parliament nor the European Liberal Forum is responsible for the content or for any use that is made of it.
You can follow the work done by ILGA PT here (in Portuguese), and get to know some of the European organizations that do similar work like ILGA Europe here, Rainbow Europe here, and the European Parliament’s LGBTI Intergroup here. We also have an LGBTI group as a Member Organization in ELF, the LGBT Liberals.
The report that Ricardo shows during the conversation can be found here.
