The COVID-19 crisis has revealed the fragility of the European Union in terms of public health. Limited EU competencies and perilous dependencies on third countries exposed our weaknesses and the need for coordinated responses to health crises. This position paper outlines a set of strategic priorities to guide our work in strengthening EU health policy.
